How much is one of them badboys? Could do with 1 of them won't be long till i do the forget to take the lock off.

they are very cheap and often come free with stuff.

I remember someone at Soho forgetting to take the disc lock off, took down a bunch of bikes. Funnily enough, never saw him at Soho again!

I always put it on the rear disc, or sprocket- more effective there, and not as bad news if you ride off since you're not likely to drop it, and it does less damage (you can bend a disc easily with the lock, plastics are the least of your worrise then) Nobody noticed when I did it at the AR

i beg to differ - i managed to jam one onto the rear disc of a former bike! Dropped the bike + had to have someone come and get it off with an angle grinder...

May have had something to do with my er somewhat heavy handed throttle approach (well if it's time to go, it's time to go!) but i prefer to blame my then boyfriend who had supposedly unlocked my bike for me...

never tried the lock on the sprocket though - after the former incident i got one of those reminder thingies, works a treat

Yep, but if you'd hit the front that hard you'd probably have broken the mudguard, bent the disc carrier, and still binned it...

I did get it well stuck when I did it at the AR though, I'd forgotten about that... Knocked the cable retainer off the inside of the swingarm too.

I put my disklock on the rear disk, and use the steering lock. IMO it makes it more difficult for the bike to be manhandled into a van or something like that.

When i'm finished working at it, I take it off the paddock stand though
