Dwr Cymru do this too. Save a few pennies. Get a water butt for the down pipes and save money by using that to water plants, water for pets (my dogs prefer it), rinsing off the car / bike etc.

You can get technical and gather rain water for use in the loo / washing machine etc, but needs to be stored high up to create some pressure, else what you gain in water costs you lose in pumping costs.

I got a water meter a few years ago, I reckon I'm saving at least £150 per year. The water co installed for free (good job as it took them three visits and three holes to do the installation...).

As for flushing, "if it's yellow let it mellow, if it's brown flush it down"
