Just try go for a short ride without using your front brakes, if they're warm at the end of the ride then that'll show they're binding.

Also when you can hear the noise, pull in clutch and give it a blip, then if the noise gets faster its engine, if it stays same its chassis/brakes.

Not really sure what it could be but that's how I'd try and narrow it down.
