ok i just put it on and i did need to extend the shoulder straps a fair bit to get it that far down, so hopefully that's it...i think before i was probably pulling the protector down which was just stretching the straps causing it to come up later. FWIW when it's at that height on my shoulders, it's a little lower at the bottom than that pic, but not a lot.
Haven't got my jacket here at the mo, but should be able to try this in the next few days... |

Knox's customer service is pretty good, so it's worth a try if it does turn out you need to change it... Example:
Me: "I've lost the carrying bag that came with my Stowaway. Can I buy another one?" Knox: "No", cuts off bag from one they had on display, gives it to me. Top stuff...

Holy digging up old threads, Batman...
Well after I adjusted it, I still couldn't get it to sit right, it kept popping up out of my trousers (oo-er). I guess I only put the little tail in, and I had adjusted it by making sure the top of it still covered the top bit of my spine. So I spoke to a mate here who has the contour, and just randomly decided to whack the straps as long as they could go (this turned out to be needed! I'm only 5'9"!) and shove the damn thing as far down my trousers as it would go ![]() And it worked! For reference, the belt thing that holds it to your chest, well that's not visible any more - yep, it's behind the waistline of the trousers. I always thought that was too low but what the hell - it fits on and doesn't stop me turning my head now! Woo! ![]() |

I'm so glad you dragged this thread up, I'd been having a similar problem with my Knox (it's a ricochet, but design is very similar). When I'm riding while wearing the protector, it seems to push the top of my leathers, particularly the collar, up into the back of my neck, which is not only sodding uncomfortable over long distances, I was worried it could be dangerous in an off i.e. could damage my neck.
I hadn't thought of adjusting the shoulder straps since they seemed to fit ok. I'll try lengthening them a bit to see if this cures the problem. |

I thought I had adjusted it for that, but you really have to stuff it as far down as it can go, the top of it is almost level with my armpit (I think) now...whatever level it's actually at, I basically had to wear it so that when standing up it feels like it is out of position and too low. G'luck with it! |
