RIP and a swift recovery to the injured.
It reinforces how vunerable you are on two wheels, treat everyother road user as if they want to cause you harm and be safe everyone.............

Interesting, on VD they reckon one of the car drivers [a BMW apparently] was charged.

Edit: The update here is a motorist has been charged so sounds like it may be one of the cars that did something causing the lorry to jack knife across the lanes.

Born Again, tbh reading this I dont honestly think there would be anything they could have done if the lorry just flipped while they were coming through. I think thats probably what makes my blood run so cold is that sometimes no matter how much you plan or think about the whatifs, if the ****s going to happen its going to happen

This will sound weird. Last night felt a bit off. I was meant to ride to Gants Hill from here (M3 junct. 4) but decided to get a lift as I felt a bit uneasy about something, can't quite put my finger on it and probably just me being daft. On the way we get clipped by an idiot in a Civic Tye R, witness another fender bender on the M3 and then as we arrive in Gants Hill see someone zooms down Woodford Avenue beeping their horn only to smash into the back of a parked car. And then this which was just down the road from where we were. Probably nothing related but still creepy. RIP guys.

thats the scariest thing about riding a bike. You have no protection against other vehicles. hopefully they didnt suffer. get well to others

Jeez - just caught up on this as I've been travelling. I went down the M1 onto the M25 yesterday at 9am and noticed the closure. Never realised it was that bad though. Statistiacally mways are the safest roads but that is truly scary. Will be super vigilant on mways in future (though I'm not sure if vigilance can prevent this type of tragedy).

Thoughts are with the friends and families of those killed.
