Thanks everyone, (apart from beniryu )

I think I'll look at some new forks etc and if its in my price range i might do that. (Or is Slimfast cheaper??? ) Its kinda hard for us who have only ever had one bike cus we dont really know what to expect... It might feel fine to us, but really it should be so much better... Which is where all you guys and gals are great. Everyones opinion really is appreciated, good or bad.

Thanks again!!

Have any mates got bikes you could ride? if so try them, even if it's only for a minute, or book a test ride at a local garage, it's great fun and a great way to try out loads of new bikes ;o)

It should run you to around £80 for parts, plus labour if you can't do it yourself- not a terribly hard job but it's got its pitfalls, such as making the bike levitate with no front forks I reckon you'll feel a big difference, but it'll be a bit of a compromise with the fork oil weights.

The only biker mates i have ride a Yam TW125 and a new GSXR750 so not sure if its a fair comparison...

I'll try the local dealers for some test rides tho... Not a massive range about here but worth a days fun i guess!!

I think i might be able to tackle the forks myself... i have a wee bit of know how and a haynes manual!
