The one thing that really used to get on my tits was the auto-arm after 30 seconds. The Sypball only auto-arms the immobiliser, which makes petrol stops a much more relaxed affair when you forget that the alarm's self-armed and get on the bike after paying.

I too have a cyclone alarm. Yes it chirp if I am enthusiastic shutting the garage door, or if somebody touches the bike itself.

I wired the immobiliser circuit to a relay that I inserted into the main bike switched power line. Great works a treat. Piece of **** to fit, more important though is you know how to easilly remove/bypass if it acts up. So in my case I carry a 2" long wire with a male spade to male spade connector and the thing can be bypassed in seconds if you only knew where to look etc.

My C-11 (if I remember right) has 2 points of power. Remove one, tamper detection fires.

I can't really see how you can easily bypass it with a single wire (but no, I don't want to know details on the public forum )

I had a Sola-Larm 835T fitted by the dealer (HBC in Grantham) before picking the SV up - £199 fitted and Thatcham MC1 approved, so helps on the insurance

It's been fine, with no false alarms; the SV lives under my car port at night, so there is the possibility that cats jump up on the seat, and it was really windy a few weeks ago. I'd certainly recommend the Sola-Larm, and only hope that it works properly if some scumbag does try to take my pride & joy

Picture the scene for a moment if you will.

You're standing in the kitchen, the bike is outside on the road. You sleepily grab your keys, thumb the remote start button & start putting your gear on.

It's a nice sunny morning outside, and you have a full day of pleasure riding planned, just the thought of it puts a smile on your face. It's even better knowing the bike will be warmed when you get to it.

You walk out the door to find the bike on it's side, a couple of feet from where you left it, rear wheel spinning away to itself. Bugger, you left it in gear last night.

Still happy about that remote start option? The above is entirely possible with the Cyclone, because you bypass the sidestand switch. Just a thought.

I never thought of that.

Mind you a remote start sounds like a right b***ard to wire up to me anyway. I'd just cut them wires.

An Xena disc lock alarm are ok and is £20 quid from Busters, can set the sensivity depending where about you mount it on the brake disc

Fitted it myself. I found the opposite of yours. Originally, with my bike, you could pick it up off the side stand, then drop it back on the side stand again & it wouldn't kick up a fuss (on the max setting!)

Luckily, it has an AUX switch input (thanks to a negatively switched tamper circuit). A trip to Maplin & back, tilt switch fitted. Now if you lift the bike off the side stand, it think's you've removed the battery, and so all hell breaks loose.

It comes with immobiliser & things like remote start option. I never bothered wiring either of them up, because it was purely a noise box. It's also saved the bike once (mainly due to me running out of the office when I heard it)!
Can you remember which tilt switch you got from Maplins please? I am just just about to put an order in with them?
