That's what I'd do too, but as a thought if the bike gets nicked so does all the paperwork proving you own it...

Don't suppose a plastic wallet in a bag that you always use works out ok? I never really go anywhere without a tank bag so would put them in there...

i was just reading on google, some bikes allow you to turn the key to the lock possition thus allowing the pillion seat to come off. is this the same way for our bikes?

There is the ignition key hole which will let you start the bike, stop it, or put the steeing lock on (We'll ignore the "parking light / flatten battery" setting)

There is also a seperate key hole on the rear left plastic, put your key in this, turn it and lift the pillion seat off.

ahha! great success!

edit: i also just found my owners manual! i'm guessing a few months down the road i would have found that keyhole... weird thing is if i didn't have you guys i would have needed the owners manual to find the owners manual! lol
