Oil top up

I guess sometimes when bikes are new, they can loose a bit of oil as things bed in.

If you havnt been following the recommended running-in schedule (i know of a guy who got a zx6r, thrashed it from new, blew up. Got given another one on warrenty, it blew up. Alf's motorcycles got suspicious, asked him if he ran it in properly...the guy said no, and voided the warrenty. He had to pay for the third one)

Top it up, and see how the bike is in a few hundred miles (maybe mark the site glass or something).

BTW, how often should I change my oil? I've done about 1000miles since my last oil change, and the oil in the site glass looks...not black, but not clean either. Sorta dark brown?

at 3000 on semi synthetic it looks used but not to dark so that is where i change it.
