Black with a dark red(maroon-ish) frame looks good on the 2006 ER6-F.
Not sure how it would translate onto a SV though. |

Mat black maybe? Dunno how it'll look with the frame though.
Think one of those lairy colour change paints will be too much, they look better on larger panels. |

Those pearlescent colours that change depending on light and angle I reckon could end up looking amazing.....or horrendously tacky. Nice on a TVR though
![]() Best colour schemes I've seen in recent years would be that incredibly lush matt metallic blue on the Kwak Z750/1000 (not sure if it's on both), which looks great next to the gold exhaust, chain etc. Alternatively, the most stylish I'd vote for the '03 R6 that came with the silver upper fairing and matt black lower. Looks so understated and would be a similar look in terms of frame colour, so I imagine it wouldn't be too difficult to reproduce it on an SV. Anything matt is my vote then, though that's probably a lot tougher to get done/more expensive. http://www.dragtimes.com/images/9445...Yamaha-YZF.jpg A photo of the R6, though I can't yet work out how to get it to appear in my post without a link... I'd have a nice metallic candy pink, with some contrasting sections in a gunmetal grey.

Whatever colour you pick I'd pick an existing car paint, that way the paint code can be very easily matched if you get any scuffs or want extra colour matched parts later

I reckon you should do it more than one plain boring colour, IMO the single colour of SV's is what lets them down a lot. Be it a stripe or some graphics, beats plain-ness.
