Sort of similar to fizzwheel, but with a twist.
When I was at college, I already landed Lead Software Engineer (I know, "engineer," shush!) in a cushy job. Then I left there, and still at college, got another job as code monkey come network tech. Left college & work, went to uni. Why? All those around me were paid more, because they had qualifications. So I started a BSc Soft. Eng. course. 4 months later, I'd quit. I should of skipped a year. Spent a while working behind various different bars. Done all sorts of work in IT (from general dogs body to self-employed). Now working as a code monkey again. Hmm. Big circle then. |

I hope to be. I have alot of freinds studying chemistry with me who are looking to go into accounting or some other non-chemistry related job. I often wonder "why didnt you just study that in the first place?".
If I can't get a job in the chemistry industry, then my chemistry training wouldnt be completly lost if I became a firefighter, which is something I wouldnt mind doing Matt |

Not if it takes him 18 years to deliver one letter!
![]() didn't really train for anything at school, other than taking subjects like wood/metalwork, draughting (as it was back then) etc as I was always intending to join the Army. But when my REME career was cut very short by the second attack of the dodgy left knee I did go to college for my OND in Graphic Design. Then spent 10 years attempting to get out of that industry and failing, until I went to work as a Librarian in a school. I am attempting to get things together to be able to actually go to University to study Equine Management (so, sh*t shovelling ![]() So, pretty mainstream and boring then. ![]() |

Left high school without a clue. All my mates went off to Uni. I bummed about for a little while before going travelling. Settled back in aus for a few years before studying tourism management. Been with it for a little over 7 years now.
