I'm planning about 7-8 hour on the scoot, and as I said will probably shoot over from Boxhill to the Ace when I finish.

Although it's a follow my nose kind of thing, the basics will be.

Kick off about 8am
Margate 10am
Hythe 12ish
Lewes 1:30
Crawley 2:30
Boxhill 3:30

Timing, now undersatnd I'm not expecting anyone to come with me (boring scoot speeds anyway) but anyone want to meet up somewhere on route give me a shout and I'll adjust timing accordingly.

Cheers Mark.
Ah youre near me. What time shall I have the kettle on for?

Failing that I could meet you Canterbury and bomb down to Rye with you. Is Hythe a definate? Reason I say is that cutting across the marsh is far more fun than the A259

Unfortunatly the scoot isn't fun to ride, just after the miles, but nothing set in stone, should be about Canterbury 11.30 ish or could come over to you about 20min later if you want ?

Cheers Mark.

In which case the A259 probably is your best bet. But yeah middayish is good for me.

I could always take the A28 over have a brew then do the A2070 down to the A259 ?

Or do you want to meetup somewhere else ?

Cheers Mark.

Youre welcome here, just a bomb site atm cos Im spring cleaning

A28 is a good run into Ashford [comes out the main road near me too]. A2070 will take you down to Brenzett to pick up the A259 there to Rye. Good run and avoids the 40mph limit on the A259 from Hythe ALL the way through to New Romney.

Cool, yeah I know that part of the world pretty well, been riding around it for the passed 20 years or so.

Give you a bell when I'm close.

Cheers Mark.

Well the deed was done, set off this morning at about 10 past 7, many hours of riding and a brief stop in Margate (just long enough for someone to steal my Tax disc ) then shoot down for a brew at Lyns (well two actually), the little things are the best, a seat that wasn't moving, a fag and a brew, just about hit the spot, add to that the Bliss that is removing my leg brace for a while, and even without the charming company it was heaven.

Back on the road, dip down to the coast around the countryside (done the Lewes Tunnel), and up to Boxhill, to be greeted by the lovely Ness awaiting me there, a brew,a good natter and a quick cuddle, before trundling off home.

About 10 hours riding around, out for nearly 12, a total of 256.7 miles covered.

Not bad for a scooter

Cheers Mark.
