I was exactly as you are at first. I was scared to even push the thing in a straight line when I first bought it. Now I'm quite comfy standing behind the bike & pulling on the grab rail whilst spinning the back wheel with the other hand. The wheel barely lifts off the floor, but that's more because I'm a weedy git. Using both hands I reckon I could lift it enough to move it in a tight space if I needed to. |

I have managed to move the back of the bike into position to secure it and get my car into the garage behind it.
However, this means I have to jerk my body to get it into place and then pull myself when getting it out - I think I am chancing my back or groin area doing this. |

Lifting the back wheel is easy. Spinning on the sidestand is hard though! Theres so much weight at the front of a pointy s!

I thought curveys were heavier? It must be all that extra hp weighing the front of the pointy down

Spinning the bike on the stand is easy once you've got the knack, and never known a sidestand bend or break because of it, not even the alloy ones I've had.

re the spiining on a sidestand thing ,,my m8 works in a bike shop and he moves all the bikes like that ,i asked him to show me and it is really easy i do it all the time now for manouvering ,,i ride in my garage ,spin it round and its facing the right way to ride it out next time ,.there is a knack to itthough ,
stand at the front (obviously) with the bike on the sidestand leaning into /towards you turn the bars left and grab the throttle with your left hand and clutch side with your right hand and pull the bike off balance(kinda forward and onto your left leg)the back wheel should b up in the air at this point (dont try front wheel at the same time as thats how side stands break) ,and drag the front end round a bit at a time until its round enough ,,this is a piece of **** ,,and dont worry all the time the bike is almost touching your left hip ,if you pull it too far it cant go anywhere cos your in front of it ,.i showed my wife how it was done and she can do it easily at 7.5-8st with very little effort so if she can do it so can you ![]() |
