its recomended that you change the brake lines aftr 4 years, so might as well put braided hoses all round IMO

Stock pads...changing them is on my "to do list"...

Indeed, I saw the lifespan of them is about the age of my bike so figured I would swap them for braided...just was unsure about "braiding" the back one.

Ta for above feedback, appreciated. Probably wise I finally joined this place yesterday as coming back home tonight my display turned off...no speedo, revs, odometer...the whole kaboodle. No brake lights or indicators either...believe me it wasn't too much fun going round the roundabout by Lewisham DLR* without those last 2 things working!!! Presume it's probably just a fuse gone or something...time to dig out the manual!! If that doesn't work I'll be back shouting for help in a Penelope Pitstop kind of a way (except more manly of course).....

(*If any of you know this roundabout you'll know it's hell even with indicators!)

...and fixed...if any of you fully understood how mechanically/technically retarded i was you would offer me a round of applause for simply finding the fusebox...let alone actually changing a dead one!!!!!

Well cack...fuse blew again...although at least it did so as I was parking up at work and not on the road

Cut out early to go get a little bag of spares on the way home, changed it, turn on...waheey little lights and working indicators...fired up and it fused it immediately

Bollox!

Now...focusing on my technical retardedness again unfortunately...I am hazarding a guess there may be a loose wire or something exposed somewhere within the electrics covered by this fuse. Unfortunatey it covers quite a lot...indicators, brake light, panel display, revs, speedo, odo and the horn

It has also utterly peed it down all week as well and the bike sits uncovered during the day at work...probably doesn't help.

I'm miffed if I can't solve this...looks like a lovely weekend too
