Oooh, dead clever. My little brother's into all that running around fields hitting people over the head with foam swords and the like. Definitely get a website set up, I get the impression this is a rapidly growing past time. Remember teh 'org when you're rich & famous

Actually Matt, its slowly declining and sas been for the last 12 years or so (how long I have been doing it)

Didnt you see my thread about organing an .org trip to one of these events - you should come along and see what your brother finds interesting - you can even borrow his kit

... alot. then trim, dye, edge-seal, varnish, polish, sew and rivet.

Different kind of work - bike leathers would be more like tailoring/making clothing just with really thick material.

I wouldn't say it's been declining, it's just there are a far greater variety of 'professionally' run events now; spreading the player base a bit more.
the small club scene, now that has dropped off a lot.

Well I plan to ride to The Gathering in my armour - means one less big bag to pack.
