if it happens again then put the barrel into some warm (not hot) water for an hour or two, replenish the water from time to time, and the barrel will expand very slightly to allow the offending cartridge to exit. You will probably have to 'help' it a wee bit but you should find it a lot easier to get the cartrige out witout getting ink everywhere.

If the barrel of the pen is metal you could always stick it in an oven and melt the cartridge out...
... I'm not being helpful really am I? ![]() Though I too prefer to use a fountain pen, I just find it more comfortable and so my writing is generally neater too. Ialso prefer dark green ink - which someone will say probably says something deep and profound about my soul or something. ![]() OK, so I like the the smell of the ink too. ![]() |
