Old Boy is the best of the Trilogy, I actually found Lady Vengeance rather boring apart from the awesome "main" scene. But there are better oriental films around, try Battle Royale, Ichi the Killer, Story of Ricky, Versus. Ong Bak is awesome too! I am a big fan of gore and zombie films, I have a large collection.

Yeah , lady vengance does go a bit quiet in the middle but worth sticking with for the end I reckon, have seen a few of the others. Love all this new wave of jap horror and korean nutter films, different from all the usual hollywood crap. Used to subscribe to film 4 and they used to show some truly bizzare stuff now they are just mainstream.

Hence the list at the start. I hate sci fi, I hate marshal arts films I hate crouching tiger and the like, althogh I liked Kill Bill & Last Samauri (but are they much more Western) So am I going to like Old Boy?

Last King now added to request list thanks,
Hot Fuzz not out yet (added to reserve list)

Minimatt & Plowsie - seen & enjoyed

Mulholland Drive? Pans labyrinth? A Very Long Engagement.?

Old boy isnt martial arts, more of a thriller than a kung fu, mullholland drive is a david lynch film , if you get david lynch you will love it if not a fan its still pretty good with a brilliant twist.

I'm hoping that you've already watched it before since it's so good, but...............
