oooo ... that's a point ... here are some on board videos I took at Brands indy to wet your appetite

My old camera mounted on the tank ... vibration issues, but you get the idea!! (it gets more exciting as it goes on btw )

Tail view - new camera, much better quality (I apologise in advance as the camera isn't 'fish eye' enough!! you will see what I mean!! ... but its still a great bit of footage as it shows what a riding god I am )

As blue said letting some air out of your tyres wil probably help, although I did my first 3 trackdays at the Suzki recommended 33F 36 R and suffered no big problems, now I let them down a little more but not sure if it makes a big difference.

Just make sure everything is sorted before you go, you know directions, leave yourself plenty of time, have your licence ready etc, so you can just concentrate on the day and the track.

Relax and enjoy, pre track nerves are likely, I get them every track day.

Tim's right in that if you are not messing with the big boys then tyre pressures are generally not going to affect your day so don't worry unduly, although panicking you have the wrong pressures is part of the day for a lot of people. But then you may be super fast rider in which case 30 rear, 32 front from cold!.......... I only learnt recently that most racers set the appropriate track pressure when tyres are hot (obviously that wouldn't be 32/30 then)

Are you Rossi in disguise? Awesome vid. Got a couple booked for July- Croft and Cadwell (eve). Can't wait after watching this!

My advice for the first time on track - Just have fun, no pressure, build up slowly. Get your braking done in a straight line, slight pause, tip it in, on the gas as soon as poss [slow in-fast out!!].

Again, awesome. Got to give it to you, go can ride alright, quality on the brakes too. Usual story at Cadwell on an SV. Past everyone on the bends only to be whooped on the start/finish and Park! Got the vid saved to watch the day before!!

I just did my first trackday as well. Nurburgring in the wet. It was fine as no other bugger was out there, apart from a few very quick cars. Just take it easy and don't push yourself too much and you'll be fine.
