The bikes are not alphadotted as standard any more. My dealer wanted £120 for doing it - I said no as I could do it myself.

Not sure whether it's a good idea as from what I read most bikes don't get recovered anyway.

i have it-

think its fine
have the liquid etc and just popped some on the panels outside and in..

u can see it though on the external gloss painted panels so make sure its in a none too obvious place and a couple or 3 on each panel. and the frame.
