as above, its summer time approaching and you want to be able to get your legs out occasionally in the good weather. not attractive with half of the road inbedded in your leg. Good luck you will love it

Leathers would also be less uncomfortable if it does rain and you are caught out in it - Jeans get wet quickly and take ages to dry!
