Really? But he'll only be 29. You thinking F1 or complete retirement?
Can't see him on a Superbike if he could still be in GP.

It's not about how old he is but what he has achieved. He is already the rider with the most podiums on the premier GP category in the Sport history and only a few wins short of having that record for the 1st place alone.

As to what he does next, I don't think it'll have 2 wheels...

But I don't think he will give it up simply because he sets a record for most wins/titles etc if he still loves it. If he stops at such a relatively young age, it will only be, as you suggest, to move to something better or more fun to him. F1 or WRC. If he can't compete at the highest level in either of those, I reckon he'll remain in motogp for a good few years yet.

I am positive that Valentino would love to add a 800cc title to his name then he would have been chasmp in 125,250,500,990 and 800. Now that would be some record.

Interestingly I met with a good Spanish biking pal of mine last night for a beer and he told me something I never knew! I was not aware how close Rossi was to signing for Ducati when he left Honda!

The deal all fell down apparently, not because of money but for the fact that Honda had him tied until the end of the YEAR and not to the end of the season. For Ducati that meant valuable devlopment time on the bike would be lost and they could not accept that.
