Well you have more experience than myself. And I must admit that I have started to look at it again. BUT.... The brakes had no bite, on speaking to the guy in the showroom he said there was a mod to swap the master cylinder from a Speed Triple. I'm not sure how much adjustment there is in the suspension, but it may be possible to tighten up.

All they need to do now is to fit some decent clocks on it

Triumph did exchange master cylinders as a goodwill gesture on the ST for bikes within a certain range of serial numbers.
Jelster what is not clear about the clocks? Other people have mentioned this and I can't see a problem myself; although a digital speedo like the Sprint RS would have suited the machine better I think.
