If you fancy a 1000cc twin, then have a look at Aprilia RSV and Falco. You get a lot of bike for not much money, you can get an '04 Falco for around £3k. Dealers may be asking £4k but they aren't shifting at all, private sale is even worse! I've had mine for sale for 2 years and had very little serious interest. If you do look at a Falco, bear in mind the rear shock is crap, but the Mille Factory unit fits straight on(can be bought off e-bay for about £250) An RSV will cost about £4.5k for an '05 model and that's the kitted "factory" spec. For bonkers riding look at a Tuono, they are seriously mental!
I've had my Falco for 2 1/2 years and the only thing to fail was the speedo sender after the first few weeks. Build quality is superb, looks are great (except the "quirky" Falco) and they are fairly comfy for longer distances. And they go like **** off a shovel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ![]() |

i've always had a soft spot for Firestorms and tbh i was a bit disappointed when i rode a friends bike recently - though it's nice to have the twin it just lacked excitement, and wasn't anywhere close to my gixxer 600. Also the v limited tank range is really annoying!

Far be it for me to criticize a Honda, but...
The VTR is very old now, and it shows. Ride it hard and you may get 80 to the tank. All the rest is typical Honda (which is good). |
