high light Synaptics touchpad
then click on Settings
below Overview you'll see "Tapping" click there and check the "Enable Tappings" box.

and all the other setting are there too.

Cheers Richie, had a look at those settings last nite, but still no joy

I'll have to continue to trawl t'internet for a solution.

Unless anyone else has any suggestions (that don't involve going back to using Internet Exploiter )?
