As far as I know, they're not model specific. They're a really (really) simple idea of reservoir which puts a little oil into a slightly thicker tube, that then runs out due to gravity over 50-100 miles (oil and speed

FWIW... I have a loobman fitted. Would I buy one again? Nope.
I've had a hairy experience with it, leaving the inner hub of the rear wheel getting covered in oil at motorway speeds. The mounting snaps stupidly easy (I butchered a metal coat hanger as a replacement, which hasn't broken yet). It also drops a lot of oil out of the bottle due to hea when the bike is still. On another bike, I'd pay more for the scott. Now that I've solved the loobmans prolems, it's not really that different, and not worth the hassle of changing it to a scott oiler. EDIT: Oh yea, that clever little dual sided thingy that puts oil on the chain/sprocket... expect it to eat cable ties. I go through two approx every 600miles. No cable tie, no oil delivered to the right place. HTH Last edited by Baph; 27-08-07 at 08:25 PM. |

As to the cable ties, can you shorten the distance of the wire hanger before the first support? if it wobbled less it would not touch the sprocket so much. |

I personally want the cable ties very very close to the sprocket, so that the oil is put on the sprocket not on the floor. For me, the loobman is just an extra precaution anyway, as my chain is loobed properly very regularly (or rather, has been so far). |
