Sorry to hear this. I find I'm clumsy in new boots/gloves till I break them in and they flex a bit. I actually fell off the pegs on my bike twice on my boots before I'd worn them in!

Never mind Melody - anything that's broken on the bike can be fixed easily enough - you can't.

But in this case sounds like you were lucky

Plus, you did the right thing and got straight back on. Well done!

I know how you feel the only time I ever droped a bike was because of boots. I have a pair of alpinestars and the soles are very hard on them so offer little grip especially in the wet.
Put my foot down and it just went straight out from under me right in front of a bus stop and about 20 people, being a dishy bloke myself no one came to my rescue.
Luckly it was a naked bike so no damage done (except to my ego)
Would have been a whole lot worse had it been my sv.

sorry to hear that melody, when you say giong in to the petrol station could it have been the cerb, i dropped my old RD350 turning off the road cos the curb was too high i never go in shallow anymore i always make sure im over 45 degs.
