In reality I do not think that that will be too far off the 2008 bike. I am willing to wager that a stubby type exhaust will be used as it is the main area where weight can be saved,(apart from going over the top on special materials for wheels etc.) The under seaters are an over played fashion fad which do not make enough sense.

The evolution of the Fireblade should see quite a number of tweaks made for next year,(Honda have a history of doing that every 2 years) with possibly an even closer resemblance to the RCV being made.

However we only have to wait 2 days before Honda officially launch their 2008 range.

IIRC, bikes rolling off the production line must have the number plate mounted further back than the furthest point of the back tyre. So if you want to design a bike with a short tail, it'll need a long bracket for the plate.
