Stunt Night at the ACE

Does it turn into a bar at night? I know they've got beer pumps but never seen them in action. Is it worht going there for a night for some beer?

On a Friday night, as has been said, its kind of a stunt night...this one was a bit more than usual though there seemed to be some pro stunters there. The cafe runs open for food and drinks, yes including alcohol. Oh and Ive seen the food and it looks good....heard it tastes good too, I was sorry I ate before I went there when I saw one biker tucking into a MASSIVE burger and fries.

The police keep away and tolerate it up to a point, they show their faces but never take action unless someone is really asking for it.

They use a stretch of road that is used by buses and Royal Mail Vans who go to the Depot down the road.

I love the atmosphere down there, Ive never seen so many bikes in such a small space before, everyone is friendly and pretty much having a good time, its real biker brotherhood stuff.

Its really worth the ride there and back (over 100 miles in the cold both ways).
I only wish I could go more often. Never been on another night other than Friday so I guess I cant comment.

About the bike grinding it up against the bus, no it wasnt a trick bike, the stunter was just really really good, it was a faring'd up superbike, Im too much of a noob to know what it was exactly cos Im new to this but Jester or Stu could probably comment on that. The guy drove up behind the bus, popped a wheelie and then ground it up against the back of the bus, Ive never seen anything like it , the crowd were hysterical with excitement. Maybe the film crew got the footage as they were right there, might be worth trying to find out if they are going to put it in some TV programme...

The guy (gixxer I think) was slow riding behind the bus. When it stopped he popped a wheelie and had both wheels resting on the bus and his wheelie bar on the road. He then let rip with a vertical burnout leaving a nice big black mark on the bus' bumper. Way coool!

Also the guy on the Gixxer doing fast rolling burnouts whilst drifting from kerb to kerb was a bit good!

yeah fri nite is chaos down there!! as is sunday afternoons...

alot of the stunters are average guys on normal bikes, they guys with wheelie bars etc i think alot of them are memebers of CD and AFL.
i love going down there and watching the fun!

one word of warning tho, the old bill DO take action, theres a black audi rs4? with two old bill in it, i see them bollocking a fella for pulling a wheelie a few weeks back but yeah mostly they just let the bikes get on with it.
the fact that it is a busy'ish public road just adds the 'wow' factor, its bloody dangerous! i wouldnt like to think what would happen if a trick went wrong infront of a bus or royal mail truck!

but saying that its amazing to watch, i have some vids on my facebook i put a link up to them.

oh and the foods good and beer and spirits are served there till 11 persoanlly i always ave a cup of rosie!
