Indeed. Hero blobs are the screw additions to the underside of the riders footrests. Used to be getting them to scrape around corners made you a "hero", but bikes and tyres are so much better and the blobs on some bikes are, like, 2 feet long, it's not such a challenge.

The things depicted in the original pic are crash mushrooms I believe.

thos cones arnt brash bungs mate they are the default fixing for lowers
HOWEVER , they have done a bloody good job of keeping my bike undamaged when i crashed and dropped it.. but the fixings behind them bend and break easily and suzuki dont sell the bloody things as spares which is so infuriating!

The OE Bracket that holds the fairing in place (which is where many crash bungs seen on eBay, and also the ones I bought, are placed)

I really want R&G (or anyone!!!) to do some that don't involve cutting the fairing!
There are a few companies that do some that fit straight into the frame for the thou, but aren't advertised as fitting the 650

I have R&G's on the R6 and i had to cut the fairings. At first i wasn't keen on the idea, but the hole is only small. You can't see it with the bung fitted. At the end of the day i would rather have a crash bung in the right place, as opposed to the wrong place....but its better cosmetically.

If you get the newer 2nd generation R & G's they do set for the 650 that dont involve cutting the lowers. I know they do this because Liz has a set on her K5 SVS

Or just get a curvy and the R + G ones simply replace one of the engine bolts with a longer one that they screw onto, job done!

Yup, but again those don't work with fairings- R&G do a set that does, though. In fact, I'm not sure they do the other sort for the curvy any more. But I've banged on with my low opinion of the R&Gs often enough, so, I'll not repeat myself
