You can get loads of feedback in about a week by buying every cheap piece of crap you see and paying straight away for it

Im not saying that this guy is the same but I saw someone get scammed out of £5k for a very cheap Audi TT which they thought was a genuine deal. Turned out it was a scam and unfortunately because the crime was commited in a foreign country, there was nothing the UK police could do about it. It did appear a geniune car to begin with.

i found out after owning my zzr6 that by law seller doesn't have to tell the buyer that the bike has previously been a insurance total loss, its up to the buyer to do a HPI check, personally i wouldn't hide that information from a perspective buyer, colinsv24 who had my last one came to see my old 650s at several stages of the rebuild and i was e mailing him photo's as i went along.

I don't see what the problem is. I would HPI it and would only pay cash on collection, after I'd checked it was legit myself. I'd do this whether the seller had 0 feedback, or 100. As others have said, it's easy to fake good feedback on dozens of cheap items (some people even sell good feedback!). It's one thing to trust feedback on something costing £20, or even a couple of hundred, but on a bike costing over £1K? No chance.

As to the price there might be a genuine reason he needed a quick sale and it's not the best time of year to sell a bike.

A mate of mine has just bought a Speed Four off ebay "55" plate 1500 miles on the clock for the bargain price of £2400. The seller was genuine with minimal feedback. He had bought a Mille and his wife had told him to get rid of the Triumph. The Aprillia dealer had only offered £1500 part ex, so he thought any more was a bonus.

As I understand it, you must notify the buyer if the vehicle is a Cat C or worse (B, or A). I may be wrong; after all, IANAL

Well I've seen slightly different rules which said that Cat B or A could not be resold, B is break for parts only, A is crush for scrap.
