I did a similar trip last year. Five hour ride at night in a downpour. Was THE worst ride ever. Think I might travel down saturday morning instead

Its way to early to trust the long range forecasts and way to much effort has been put in to make this happen just for us to bail out now because the forecast says its gonna rain at the weekend.
Lets be sensible about this, wait till Thursday night / Friday morning before you make your final decision.
