Abingdon have banned ipods - wtf am I going to do now? I never run without an iPod. They have been clear about it too in so much as it will be an instant disqualification.

Sorry to burst into this thread but was reading a few threads and this one has taken my interest as I will start running again soon once my knee is sorted fully. I sought advice from one of the fitness instructors last night which helped me a bit. But...

if an aberlance was behind you, or someone was to need your attention, you would not hear them.

thats what i was told, pretty crap reason IMO, and i prefere to run with music....... but i think listening to music wiould drown out a bit of the atmosphere, i will not be taking my mp3 for cardiff half

I trained all last winter with my ipod but then didnt take mine on the London marathon. Didnt really need it to be fair.

I'm in the VLM2010, just got the magazine, bang goes me giving up marathon running after abingdon then!
