Re: Vintage film cameras
That's an amazing price for the contessa Kenzie. I hope you can get it working.
I'm slowly getting organised. Staying in a hotel for 10 weeks was going to drive me crazy but I've swopped to a suite so at least I've got 2 separate rooms now and only £40 a night. Been exploring the local area which is very ..... local. Outdoor markets, live chickens for sale, rows of women with seeing machines fixing things, street barbers. I'm thinking about pics, there's lots of potential. Will probably put the b&w in the trip and the colour film in the OM 10 and see what I can get. Talking to colleagues, they've shown me a place on a map which has camera shops, including second hand ones selling digital and film. They reckon the film ones are cheap as no-one wants such ancient technology but I'll have to go with a local to do the bartering. |

Re: Vintage film cameras
Yeah, it looks pretty but not fully functional. Would love to go to the markets, I like a good rummage. My wife hates them so I tend to go on my own.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Bit far out of my way. Picked up a Voigtlander Vito ii. It looks like a pre 1953 model with Compur shutter up to 1/500. Doesn't have a cold shoe that the 1954 onward models have. f3.5 Color-Skopar lens. Also got a Rondo Colourmatic as well.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Just found my Perkeo had a lens hood and yellow filter on a holder on the case strap. Just bought some more HP5+ so Will give it a go. Tried to fix the film counter on my car boot Trip 35 but failed! Do this shots look in focus to you?

Re: Vintage film cameras
The closest things look to be in the best focus, but with so much light it'll likely be at a small aperture so large DoF masking any inaccuracies. Does look a bit soft though - is the glass clean, especially towards the rear?

Re: Vintage film cameras
Glass is clean I think. This was the one I took apart to fix the focus.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Ah right. Looks fine but the best test is at max aperture and short range e.g. 1m
