Anyway...bit sidetracked there - I was just out on it doing the above and stopped in a petrol station. It seemed the best lights were around there I guess?!

You g33k!

Fair enough.

Another one to quote for future!

It's seriously quiet at the moment. It really needs improving....problem is, it keeps the cat unlike the K6/K7 slip-ons...which I think really muffles the sound.

Oh its a rare occation they do sound good and still a V config beats it but they can be good enough to listen to.

Are you sure its not louder than you think? get someone to rev it while you stand behind. That might give you a better idea of how it sounds. Honest dont go too loud. its not good imo. (He says with a Stupid loud bike... Apparently it was made peoples heads pulse with the beat of the exhaust when I went out for a ride with some of the the Org. LOL)

It is louder from behind - not massively so (mate said it sounds different rather than louder). But I'm on the bike most of the time so I judge it from the seat's perspective it's my weekend bike so it can be a bit louder. My (commuter) CBR is louder!

You are better going for induction noise imo if you want the noise for youself.

Maybe...never changed the filter on a bike, always gone for the exhaust for sound...I would rather the can sounded better though! Maybe after a few more miles, I can still smell the can from the bike so it is still burning off the oils and whatnot that come with it I guess. And I did get a chance to finally open it up a bit tonight (albeit with a pillion so not too quickly) and at 14-15k it does sound nicer

I guess all throughout the range it sounds a tad fruitier, I just want 2 tads!

From my EXP to the rider the induction sounds best. Infact when I removed the snorkel off of the SV I put the baffle back in as it sounded better with baffle in and snorkel out. Sounded like a BEAST! I do miss that induction growl.

The Falco sound ok but its muffled as its got a Ram air system setup... So I cant just do a Snorkel mod... well not without losing the ram air setup.

I can't hear my exhaust when giving it beans. Lots of induction noise.

Listen to an early ZX6, they've got ramair, there will be something else in there shutting the falco up. Or maybe it's just better designed, noise and turbulence (power loss) tend to go together. I would suggest there's something silly and restrictive in the way.
