Sounds lovely, do it !!!

I always heard I should really get a PC3 if I got a filter...do you have one on yours? I heard it makes it lean...of course it's all relative, a little bit probably won't matter. Filters are relatively cheap, considering

Nope I havent got a PCIII and I havent had anything done with it at all. Bike is much smoother at the bottom end and the throttle is far less snatchy than it was with the standard filter in it, so I dont really see the need to have it looked at.

I guess I probably should but a PCIII is a f*ck load of money that I could spend on fuel !!!!

That won't muffle the induction noise.

If it runs fine then you are ok, but I would go for a OEM remap rather than a PCIII if you decide too in the future.

Well thats odd, the only difference between this bike and the SV in the airbox department is the fact that the air gets pulled from the front of the bike. I presumed that since noise travels best through air and not plastic (the tank is plastic on the falco... maybe thats it?) that the noise will be directed out of the fron and not under me.

Not to worry. I can hear it, just not as lud as the told SV. Though the SL could well be 3-6 more DB... with baffles in.

I would'nt imagine you need a pc3 just because you change your air filter as thats just hearsay & the manufacturers want you to buy their product's but........

IMO if you have an aftermaket can+filter then it will/does get the best out of whatever combination you have, it's given mine quite a few more horses.

the standard k7 exhaust is loud, the induction noise is great too! i was expecting a quiet acceleration like my old cbr but NOoooooooo! its great!!!
on the last rideout another gsxr6 k7 owner said its 105db and a triumph 675 following him said he had to overtake him because of the noise following.
