SRAM are just as good as Shimano , only reason why I stuck with Shimano was the ratio for my Shifters , plus the XTR mech I own has been on every single one of my bikes , replace the Jockey wheels every couple of years (about £9) and it still runs sweet .

I've sorted mine today too. Replaced the chain ring that Mr Badger kindly donated, cleaned the bike all over, lubed everything up. Now running sound as a pound........even the gear changing issue seems to have gone. Maybe I had some crud in the Deraileur that was causing issues. Who knows.

Next step, saving up pennys for a full sus frame. Looking at used Marins and Orange frames mainly but also looking at others. Keeping my eye out on feabay for any bargains.

When I was looking I found the best bargains on www.bikeradar.com - if you let me know what you're looking for, price, size etc I can keep an eye out for you?
