Not necessarily overcooked corners, but I believe the majority of KSI accidents are on rural roads with no other vehicles involved, so read into that what you will. Happy to be stood corrected if that's wrong.

Quick google revealed this
"70% of all bike accidents involved collision with another vehicle.

75% of Bike - Car accidents occur on urban roads, in 39% of cases the precipitating factor was the biker ... but in 61% of incidents the car driver was deemed to be at fault. .......... "

However I bet a lot of overcooked bend/single vehicle accidents aren't reported and are there for not recorded to contribute to the statistics which waivers the accuracy a bit I guess.

Fairy nuff. My perception came from a rider training article in bike magazine, you make statistics read what you want if it suits the article you are trying to write.

Thats true, i once read more married people die in domestic violence related deaths than get killed on bikes, so marriage is more dangerous statistically speaking.

I still agree with your point though, jumping on a a massive bike from nothing is asking for trouble.

You could buy a bike that didn't need restricting - that's a buyers choice and thus the cost of restriction isn't entirely mandatory, it's predicated upon one's own buying choices.

Ok you show me sales of some <33bhp undersize POS that will get you killed on the motorway that is cost of restrictor cheaper than the SV

What bike these days is <33bhp and actually worth owning?

Beats me - but that wasn't the question was it?

Fact remains; you don't have to restrict - you could buy a bike that doesn't require restriction and thus not pay for restriction to be carried out.

i passed my test on the 25th of may this year after riding a hyosung GT125R for three years and no i dont agree with it. Ive now got a resticted SV650S K9 after taking the test on my 125 and im happy with it. It still goes fast enough to kill yourself if you choose to ride like a fool. i personally think its just another way to make money.
