Re: What have you tinkered with today?
Got the mrs EN500 through it's MOT. So, once she does her DAS she has a bike to ride. Nudging her to get it done before christmas.

VF750 through it's MOT with no advisories. Glad it's back on the road. I've missed it.

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
Washed the Sv down after yesterday's wet ride to Southwold & lubed the chain to make sure it isn't a rusty mess when I next come to ride it.
Found a nut and bolt to use on the exhaust strap, after the other one went walkies

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
I asked my sister for a torque wrench for my birthday. Her reply was why do you need a wrench that talks? Does it tell you when you've tightened something up?
I have now changed my request and asked for some cash instead. I think that's safer.

I suppose she is half right with that bit of the response.

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
Fixed the release latch on my kappa top box. I couldn't lock the box after removing it. The red release button was sticking. Oil didn't fix it so pulled it apart. Found a lose washer jammed in the mech. No idea where it came from.

Tightened and waxed the chain. I also adjusted the clutch cable.

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
A full set of k5 cams have gone in the track bike. Have I mentioned lately that the curvy cam chain tensioners are a sod to install? Hey Ho, new cams are in and clearances are good. Time for a beer.
