Hmmmm that's not helping to put me off at all..... suppose it I could read it as - R6 -previous owners will have ragged it relentlessly - get an R1 instead.

In other news rejected a GSXR this weekend & got 96 miles to the light on my SV.

Am I getting bored of this bike hunting Malarky?

Is a cure on the horizon?

Tune in for the next unexciting installment of....

R6's are well overpriced, but on the plus side it doesn mean they will sell when you get bored of it. they don't seem to depreciate much past 2 grand if they are well looked after.

Coming to the conclusion that anything shiney and 600cc (with possible exception of the ZX) stays pretty inflated in comparison to the litre/ 750 versions of the same.

Then I suppose you could say that about the SV.

"First bike syndrome"

Don't hold with shiney though...

Solution - get a 750. More power, more torque, better susspension and brakes (normally), marginal increase in consumables cost. If only Yamaha did a full scale production R7, that would have been awsome. Despite the tracksuit wearing mornon bregade being partial to the SRAD, I would be tempted. Nearly went for GSXR 750 before I found this ZX7.

Cheaper insurance = more people able to afford to ride them = better residuals.

And every so often a manufacturer offers one year's free insurance on something from their range. When it's a top-end sports bike, loads of people buy them then, when they see the renewal quote, flog them. So you end up with a glut of a certain model, usually litrebikes.

I can strongly recommend a GSXR750 K3/K4.

Keep going and then you will only have enough money to buy one of my bikes. It would take an aweful lot of data checks though.

"I am selling this bike for a friend who 20 years ago rode LC350's and thought they were fast ( which I suppose they were in their day) He then left biking for a while to rear kids and things, like you do, until he recently stumbled upon the mid life crisis, and thinking of the good heady old days of clear roads without cash cow cameras in operation everywhere, and bloody 40 mph speed limits on roads capable of at least double this,
he went out and purchased this 1999 machine with 20000 miles on it.
Now, you may or you may not know but , ISLAND ROADS ARE DIFFERENT !! It even says so at the ferry port , so,
Needless to say, after a short time, he has scared himself to a point where this awesome machine is available for sale again.
It is a boy scarer and old man breaker of a motorcycle, so if you fancy buying this, please dont mess about
because time wasters will not be tolerated, nor will people requiring girlfriends permission, or Scammers, or anyone
not prepared to put hard cash in my hand at the close of business.
I am prepared to pick you up from the ferry and ensure you make it back to it, unscathed by our fabulous road surfaces
and If I like you, may even offer you a cup of tea."

Quality....resisting urge to ask if it'll be Yorshire tea....

Edit2: Failed to resist....
