bearing in mind you support much of your weight on your arms, I can't see how it is possible to brake without turning the bars! ... vice grip thighs or what!!
I tried one handed for a while the other day, its bloody hard turning.

I don't invisage one arm turning is too much of a problem, its keeping your weight off it when breaking I see as the larger/greater problem!

I suppose one adapts and overcomes and all that!!

The most important thing is that he isn't/wasn't sat at home making excuses

Knees firmly on the tank and highly developed torso muscles is the only way I can see it happening, but that's one hell of a thing to do on a permanent basis around a track

Yep 'stomp grips' on the tank and thighs like a vice is the only way I can see it working!!

Having to grip with thighs is not a massive issue on the road I should imagine, but under the forces/stresses on the track!

Is that the same one arm bloke who used to race with Bemsee?Quite amazing to watch him at Brands as a mid pack to front runner in the 600s.

+1. One of the bike mags did a test of Ron Haslam round the track with one hand behind his back. Still much quicker than the mere mortals, but he said it did make a huge difference, most noticeably under braking.

BTW, That final smiley in your post is (perhaps unintentionally) amusing.
