well...reason we sold the bmw and got a smaller thing was a few reasons...

wanted cheap insurance....

wanted cheaper tax...

wanted better fuel economy....

needed 5 doors as now have a 5 month old son (well my mrs wanted 5 doors not me)

and we own a flat atm but want to buy a house so basically trying to reduce all of our outgoings....we have a good chunk of equiety in the flat but still cant afford the type of house we want just yet.....

oh..and £3594 has been spent on a breast enlargement for my mrs (her thing wanted for yrs not mine!) which she is having in 9 days!

sorry to derail thread op!

Pretty easy, i'd start off with hot water. Think kettle! It depends how old the car is, I took a badge off a car that was 1 year old and it pretty much dropped off. Whereas on a mates 7 year old car we had to use hot water and white spirit. Didn't damage the paint at all, but of course be sparing.

They do pedal cars that big?

at the end of the day, everyone will know its a 1.6 by the size of the exhaust and lack of anything remotly making it look more than a 1.6, also when you go to pull away...

Was this the same golf you were putting 18's on as well?

thats the one..did u see the before and after pics???....

mk4 golf....no visible exhaust...only the r32 or whatever the equivelant for that yr was called has a visible exhaust...i think....

it also looks cleaner and neater without the badges...im not trying to make it look like something its not....just improve it that was all...looks better now .....

any car without any badges on it are guaranteed to be a poverty spec model with a tiny engine. FACT

Saw a M5 one day with a 530d badge on it though, now that's kinda cool?

ur facts arnt very good are they??

ive had a 150tdi...debadged....top spec 150bhp

an msport 325ti...debadged....top spec with 190 bhp

in fact every car ive ever owned ive debadged...it looks better...and put back on when it comes to selling it....

a lot of show cars are also debadged as it makes the rear end look cleaner......smoother etc,.....
sorry mate cant agree with ur comment there.....yes you may say my car is a "poverty?" spec model was it? but im sure not all debadged cars are bottom of the range
