I'm not do sure aboutthis 'only creates water' business.
Last time I looked internal combustion engines needed lubricating and a good part of cleaning up the emissions is to do with what happens to some of the lube.
Everytime a cylinder fires it will be awash with water until its pushed out the exhaust valve. I think there will be emulsified oil in the water that comes out of the exhaust (drain pipe?) by the time the oily steam has condensed in there.
Imagine that stuff all over the black top from a bikers perspective.
And wheres it all going to go?
I think leccy motors and nuke power stations will be the way forward. Might even make some new ozone

hydrogen and oxygen isn't a combustion, they combine and release electricity

no explosion, no reciprocating pistons

just electric motors

You are thinking of burning the gas like we do petrol rather than combining to make electricity and running motors.

Hmmm electric bikes - 2-wheel drive, huge amounts of torque and no exhausts for Kawasaki engineers to make look ridiculous

As has been far more eloquently explained than I possibly could, hydrogen isn't burnt as such, it's just allowed to react and we can syphon off energy from that reaction. As such, it's not just wodged into a regular internal combusion engine and burnt like a fuel, there's no cylinders, no crank shafts and exhaust valves and the like - just a hydrogen fuel cell and a leccy motor. There should be way less moving parts in that set up and hence way less need for lubrication and the like. But yep, there'll always be waste in manufacturing and maintenance. In theory, in the long run at least, it holds promise to be less than current practice.

Did you see that leccy bike they did on Scrapheap challenge a few weeks back? Was feckin amazing the torque they got out of a piddly looking motor. Obviously huge battery pack and probably only a ten mile range, but still.

Talking of two wheel drive. Whatever happened to that? I remember the Yamaha 2-trac system showing significant promise at Paris-Dakar then it all seemed to go quiet?

OOOH ! I see

So the cell gets removed at some point and is full of water?
I need to look into this some more......................

(edited)
I've just had a read
Its interesting stuff. I have a feeling am electric bike (rather than a car) might be quite good fun.

i would presume the water would be allowed to drip from the back of the machine, or evaporate naturally

It WOULD be possible to store the waste water - but why bother?

Just let it drip, or if the Cell gets hot enough - use that to turn it to steam.
