I just went into Thomas Cook and checked out their offers. It was absolutely amazing. Five days at a Mombasa beach hotel, four on safari in Amboceli, then five more back at the hotel. Fabulous.

If you want to be somewhere warm ... use some of the money to pay the extra your gas/electricity bill will cost to keep the heating on for a whole week (or two). Hire a projector and project images of sun-kissed beaches onto the biggest wall in your living room ... get a washing up bowl filled with sand and stick ya feet in it ... and finally pay for someone to wait on you hand n foot for the week (I'm sure a small foreigner would accept less than minimum wage, cash-in-hand n all that
 LOL).Or you could go away and just send everyone a post-card saying "Hope you like the postcard cos it's ya xmas pressie  " Pete |
