You spend half the time with PCs building and fixing them. **** that. I'd rather have a PS3 anyday- more sociable, less hassle and what you lose in graphics it makes up in gameplay

yeah you might have to fix them if something goes wrong, but the gameplay is far better on a pc, for a start you have more controls, and with most games its easier to aim on a pc cos you have a mouse. aiming with a console controller is slow and half the time twitchy. plus the online gaming on PCs is better.

In response to the original question yes Halo 3 is awesome especially on Xbox Live, add me Tactcom7 if anyone wants!

But the accessibility of PC games has to work in it's favour. Much more likely to sit back with some tins on the sofa playing a PS than a PC

i guess it depends where you wanna put your PC. I hook mine up to the LCD TV, and play on the sofa.
But i think its gone off topic. Halo 3 is awsome, and equally addictive as the last 2 |

my sons got one for his xmas from his dad and halo 3. he played halo3 at his pals house a few months ago and completed the easy level in an hour and a half. he will be so excited on xmas day. peace and quiet for me. was going to buy him some other games for it but they are very expensive so just giving him money for his birthday (29.12) so he can buy his own.

You can't knock the consoles for value for money of hardware. People say PC games are cheaper, and they often are, but you'd need to buy a lot of games to start recouping some of the outlay you shelled out when you bought your £600+ box. And yes, you can use a PC for more than just games, but you don't need an uber machine to do that, a £299 laptop would suffice, and most of us probably have at least that in our homes anyway, so this is a purely "for games" debate. FTR I'm a PC "gamer", although my system is now getting pretty old. I only play a few online racing simulators that would run on just about anything you can buy today that has a dedicated gfx card. I like consoles too because of how well everything works. No worries about whether your system will handle it. |
