Ditto what K said. Really fancy the idea of St. Mary's Loch.

I think this really is for the P Massive to make an offer, backed up with available accommodation and I for one will be there. Yes the offer of dates by poll might be nice, but I'm easy as I have no plans for then yet.

In other words, I haven't a clue about the areas you're talking about, probably prefer not to travel further North than I have to, last year's was ace & happy to do again, but if you can find better, then great!

Like I said not sure if we are coming, but from a personal point of view it would be nice to do a different area. Not that the roads are rubbish in the usual general area, just be nice to explore some different countryside perhaps ?

Ill just give my ten pence worth and comment on St Marys Loch.

Southerners, if you thought that the Lake District was a great place to ride, then you will be absolutely *insert superlative of choice here* by the roads up by St Marys Loch and Sammylings which is the temple which Mark is talking about.

The road surfaces are super grippy, endless miles WITHOUT traffic and some stunning scenery to boot. Right across the Borders there are fantastic roads which are just amazing to ride. It is a long way to travel but it is without doubt worth it.

St Marys Loch looks like hell of a trek for the southerners.

St Marys Loch - That's Scotland right? The SV Ecosse are putting on a rideout this year. How about one more year in the lakes, IIRC there weren't many second-timers last year & with Fizz potentially not going that's not too many* that are getting tired of the lakes (Pennine Massive excluded obviously - but I thought (in the nicest possible way) that this was the PM inviting people to their playground)
*And excluding Jelster etc. but if he's too busy to organise can you really make plans to suit them plus potentially they might not be happy with the extra distance to get there.

But thats the point isnt it, its supposed to be an adventure and a chance to explore guided by somebody who knows the best places to go. I'm not tired of the lakes I'd happily do that route again, but its nice to go somewhere else and explore I think was all I was trying to get at.

Its not further than some of the Pennine lot / Scottish guys will travel if they are going to the AR this year.

Like I said I'm not 100% sure we're are going so Stu is right don't change plans to accomodate me, If I go I go

Before dates, how about we all decide where?

What about something more Hartside/Kielder/Jedburgh way? Some good campsites, some excellent roads... and not that much further north than the Lakes.
