I've virtually always used sports touring tyres and never had any problems. I only use stickier stuff if i scrounge it for free off friends.

I'll give it a go then.

I'm going to scrub them in now when i go for a ride with Dan, but i reckon they will be good.

If i was going to tour then i would definitely use sports touring hoops. Infact i would only use sports rubber if the bike was solely a weekend toy, the M25/M4 soon kills them otherwise. Anyway its not like sports touring tyres will hold you back these days, they're good enough for track days as people have proved.

Well i got the tyres at Ride In(i highly recommend Mark as others have) and just as i was trying to work out where it was a blue/white/black bike hooned past me and dodged off down a side street to the right. I gave chase and just as i pulled in the ape was getting his lid off.

Damn that dirty ape, cost me 10 minutes waiting time, although i may well have not found it without him.
