I wont be there now... i will be a few miles down the road with my Mother-In-Law as we will have Mina as of Sunday... I was just going to leave Lupo with James' mum, but its not fair to leave her with the 2, plus her own 3 dogs LOL!! will see if i can come up for an hour or so as it is so close
Well, you get off from being badgered by me all day with questions like "sam, just HOW do I get a great shot" and "what exposure compensation do you think i should use?" etc etc

Actually that is a pretty good price. I have seen Brands GP at the 250 pound mark and the Indy at 200 before!

Assuming this is today, I hope you've had a reasonable day with the weather, it's been a bit rubbish here!

Weather was good in the morning, in fact lovely, warm and bright. Deteriorated to heavy showers over the lunch break, so I ended up only doing one session in the afternoon. I started trying too hard, so pulled in as I didn't want to ruin the day.

Was my first time in Inters (organisers put me there rather than my choice, but I thought I'd see how it went), only got passed by the same half dozen bikes each session, so very very happy with that

Brands GP is GREAT!!! Easily the best circuit I've been to. As Blue said earlier in this thread, everyone should do it once

Couple of pics to follow....

Cool ... in waiting for a last min booking/forecast I'd kinda forgotten about this really ...

Good you had a nice day.

What did you think of dingle-dell (shene curve or whatever it is now).

I liked it, but I'm sure it could have been taken a lot faster than I was. Wasn't quite brave enough to throw it through there. I actually think my favourite corner was Surtees. I seemed to be able to make time round there on the bigger bikes, and then pop a little wheelie over the crest. Of course they usually pi$$ed off down the following straight ....

It's funny, I really dislike Surtees, it is off camber, poor surface and tightens up on you!! ...

How many laps was it before you realised you were not going to decapitate yourself on the bridge down the back straight (after Surtees)?!?!

Heheh, yeah that bridge is a bit low

I think the reason that I liked Surtees was that it kinda suited an easy in, fast out method. I followed a couple of guys who really barrelled in there, only to get in a right mess on the way out. And since I was slow on the way in, I could get round it quite well

It was amazing how much nicer it was running in Inters. Really nice to follow some consistent lines and learn by just being out there

That bridge isn't actually that low (they race trucks there at the end of the day don't they? ) ... but it sure seems low as it is at eye level as you crest the hill ... its only coz the track drops away that you go under it!! ... scary **** that ... nearly as scary as dingle dell 'on-it'!!

I think if you have done Brands Indy before, its easy to barrel into Surtees too fast as on the indy circuit its quite a fast 'flick' ... it certainly took me by surprise the first time I did Brands GP!!

yeah my advice for anyone who has done a trackday or two is to 'up-group' to inters as soon as possible ... I think staying in novice will only serve to hold people development back after a point ...
