It's good to see that you got it fixed. Hopefully it'll continue for as long as it did on mine.

Yer the mileometer works double time on mine as well as the trips but the fuel light seems fine. My dads got the same model SV as mine so when he gets his back from having a new can fitted ill swop the spedo drives round then i can find out if thats the problem.

Finally got round to checking the speedo rota today. Took the calipers off, gently lowered the wheel off to find a slightly worn rota. Looks still usable to me, so may be a wiring /electrical fault. I took a photo just in case and started putting the wheel back on...
... Only to find it impossible to get one of the calipers back on the discs. ...and now the right hand side brake pad has come off and swings round from the base of the caliper like a hand on a clock. (it's still attatched, but only at one end) So does anyone know if there is a simple fix, or do i need new pads or a whole new caliper??? If so roughly how much will a brake pad or caliper cost me??? ![]()

I was told by a friend tonight that the reason was because the reservoir is leaving no space for the fluid to push back to. So if i take the lid off the reservoir i will be able to prize them apart and fit them back round the discs. This sounds logical to me and i'll give it a go in the morning.
I'll try just seperating them with my hands. Is that wise???
