SV engines are a bit tappity and tuppity and lumpy. Unless theres a definate rattle that exists throughout the rev range, it'll more likley than not be a normal noise
![]() ![]() Your noise is just a tickover noise, my bike does it aswell. Well, when its cold and idling at 1300 rpm, until its warm and idling at 1500 rpm Matt |

Its a v - twin its going to make a thumpy noise. I shouldnt worry but if you are get your cam chain checked as part of your next service maybe?

After watching your vid your bike seems quieter than mine.
I raised a similar question here: http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=110804 Mine sounds pretty lumpy on cold start but sounds similar to yours when warmed up. Just the standard SV burble I guess. John. |

Sounds fine to me , when the motor is ticking over there is noise from the primary gear drive due to the lumpy firing intervals of a V twin, this disappears under load , iin line 4s are smoother , otherwise , dont worry.
