I'm not sure how many keys I have for it, 2 probably but maybe just one.

Wow! and again you people are saving me! That would be very much appreciated! I don't care if the lock and stuff is not in perfect condition - hell knows what condition my bike is in the moment! Thank you very much for the offer alone, I will let you know asap, with some pics!

Hi Nadine
welcome to Britain, Scheisseloch of Europe. This is the country where you are charged for being the victim of crime, plus VAT.

Realy sorry to hear of the troubles, but don't despair, the .org is there!!!

Urgh what a terrrible situation, you have my sympathy. I can't believe they don't have a beter system than this. For instance any criminal found guilty of car crime has to pay compensation as well into a fund that pays for recovery and towing charges of unsolved crimes. That would be simple and effective surely?

Anyway, good luck with your bike. My brother lives in Bristol near UWE and he has had a burning car left outside his house. It really is a scummy area.

Thanx guys, and check this out, the irony goes on:

I just talked to the police again cos I thought I might find out more info about the damage - then they go: You haven't reported it. And I am like, well, you are the ones who told me it has been stolen and recovered, so I obviuosly assumed that YOU KNOW OF IT!!!

And then they wanted me to tell them exactly what happened, and I am like: THAT IS WHAT I AM TRYING TO FIND OUT FROM YOU!!!

lol. What more can I say.

All the best,
Nadine

Have you asked where it was towed from?? SOunds to me like it was nicked, crashed and then just left ... then somone rang the fuzz as it was parked/dumped illegally ...

Sadly you have no choice ... you have to pay the tow fee ... if it were me, I'd pay the tow fee, get it home and then assess if it is 'worth' going through the insurance.

p.s. serves you right for being a 'dirty stopout'!!
